Strategic Communication • National Development • Public Trust • Food Security
Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) is the flagship national event of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), created to drive strategic dialogue and promote sustainable national development. Rebranded in 2024 from the NIPR Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting, NPRW convenes leaders from government, business, academia, civil society, and the media to address issues of national importance through strategic communication.
Hosted annually in partnership with state governments, Nigeria Public Relations Week rotates across the country, fostering national inclusion, collaboration, and shared ownership of critical conversations that shape Nigeria’s future.
The theme for NPRW 2026 is “Nigeria’s Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plates – The Imperatives of Public Relations.” The Week will examine how strategic communication can bridge the gap between policy formulation and real impact on food availability, affordability, and nutrition for Nigerians.
Previous editions include NPRW 2024 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, themed “Leveraging Public Relations as a Critical Asset for Nigeria’s Economic and Reputation Renaissance,” and NPRW 2025 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, which focused on “Solid Minerals: A Solid Path to Nigeria’s Sustainable Economic Recovery – The Challenge for Public Relations.”
